Recap of STV Machinery at Interplas 2026

2nd–4th June 2026 | Birmingham NEC | Halls 9, 10 & 11

Interplas 2026 brought the UK plastics industry together at the Birmingham NEC from 2nd–4th June, showcasing the very best in plastics machinery, technology, materials and supporting equipment.

With more than 500 exhibitors and over 10,000 visitors across the three days, it was a fantastic opportunity for STV Machinery to showcase some of the equipment, technology and expertise that we offer to the plastics industry.

And, as always, we wanted our stand to be about more than simply displaying machinery. We wanted visitors to see the machines in action, get a closer look at the technology behind them, meet the team and, of course, have a bit of fun along the way!

Yizumi – live production on the stand

One of the main attractions was the ever-popular Yizumi UN160A6EU servo-hydraulic toggle-lock injection moulding machine, which was running throughout the exhibition with a Yizumi YR1000S3D beam robot, complete with custom end-of-arm tooling, showcasing the automation capabilities available alongside Yizumi’s injection moulding technology.

The machine was moulding EcoDrinkware‘s reusable 380ml Highball Glass using Tritan™ Renew from Eastman, giving visitors the opportunity to see the Yizumi machine producing a finished product right before their eyes.

The reusable glasses proved extremely popular with visitors, and every glass produced during the exhibition was given away to attendees.

A huge thank you goes to Fenton Precision Engineering for kindly loaning us the tool that made the demonstration possible.

A closer look inside Yizumi

We also showcased the Yizumi UN120A6-EU injection moulding machine, but with a difference.

Visitors were given a first-of-its-kind opportunity to see the machine uncovered, behind the usual doors and guards, providing a fascinating look at the engineering, build quality and components inside a Yizumi injection moulding machine.

For anyone interested in the technical side of injection moulding machinery, this offered a unique perspective that isn’t normally possible when viewing a machine in its standard configuration.

Virginio Nastri – separating, sorting and conveying

Our display wasn’t all about injection moulding machines.

We also had Virginio Nastri conveyors and separators in action, separating, sorting and conveying a selection of sweets — which, unsurprisingly, proved to be another very popular attraction!

It was a simple but effective way of demonstrating the versatility of Virginio Nastri’s equipment while giving visitors something to enjoy as they made their way around the stand.

STV Machinery’s Refurbishment Expertise

Another key machine on display was the BOY 22MVH injection moulding machine, expertly refurbished by our in-house engineering team here at STV Machinery.

The machine provided a great opportunity to demonstrate exactly what goes into our refurbishment process and the standard we aim to achieve with every machine that leaves our workshop.

The finished machine showcased how a quality European injection moulding machine can be brought back to an exceptional standard through the expertise and experience of our engineering team.

We’re confident enough in the quality of our refurbishment works that every refurbished machine sold by STV Machinery is backed by our 6-month leak-free guarantee.

A little competition…

Of course, we couldn’t attend an exhibition like Interplas without bringing a little competition to the stand!

Our Batak machine proved to be a huge hit, with visitors competing throughout each day to see who could achieve the fastest score.

The daily leaders then faced the pressure of competing for the top spot, putting their speed and reactions to the test.

And there was more to be won, with a LEGO set giveaway adding another opportunity for visitors to take something home from the STV Machinery stand.

Thank you!

Interplas 2026 was a fantastic three days for the STV Machinery team.

It gave us the opportunity to showcase the latest technology from Yizumi, demonstrate the capabilities of Virginio Nastri, highlight our own refurbishment expertise and, most importantly, meet and speak with so many people from across the plastics industry.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who visited the STV Machinery stand, whether you came specifically to discuss machinery, stopped by to see a demonstration, entered the Batak competition, picked up some sweets, collected a reusable Highball Glass or simply came over for a chat.

We came away from Interplas with plenty of new conversations, new connections and lots to look forward to.

If you missed us at Interplas 2026 and would like to find out more about any of the machinery or equipment we had on display, get in touch with the STV Machinery team. We’d be happy to talk through your requirements.
