Yizumi have now completed testing on a record breaking 8500-ton injection moulding machine.
Yizumi unveiled this milestone machine– the ultra-large high precision injection moulding machine – following delivery to the customer. It took approximately 2 years from inception to installation and due to the sheer size, it took 4 months and 30 technicians to assemble the machine. This amazing technological accomplishment is 27m in length and exceeds 6m in height – even a single platen weighs over 140 tons.
The machine has a rated clamping force of 8500 tons which is a significant technological breakthrough in Chinese manufactured two-platen injection moulding machines. This high-speed machine also has a 30% energy saving compared with a traditional three-platen machine.
The two injection units provide a maximum shot weight of 80 kg each and sit side by side. It also benefits from further cutting-edge technologies including injection compression moulding technology, SmartClamp technology, internal circulation clamping unit and an energy efficient pump technology. The control system integrates smart-control and software developed in-house by Yizumi.
Although the product being produced is confidential, Yizumi have designed this machine for large-sized products suitable for aerospace, automotive, petrochemical and transportation industries.
This is the first step toward Yizumi’s plan to expand the tonnage range for all series of their machines.
